Our format guides and help content exist to help people make informed image-processing choices—not to inflate search traffic with thin or misleading pages.
Scope and authorship
Content is published by the Free Image Converter product team. Guidance is based on the behaviour of the visible tools, established format characteristics and browser capabilities. We do not publish anonymous user submissions.
Writing principles
- Explain trade-offs instead of declaring one format universally best.
- Distinguish browser support from guaranteed support on every device.
- State when quality, metadata, transparency or animation may change.
- Avoid claims that conversion can recreate detail missing from a source file.
Commercial separation
Advertising does not determine tool output, format recommendations or editorial conclusions. Advertisements are labelled and separated from navigation and download controls.
Corrections
If you find an inaccurate statement, report the page and issue through the contact form. Material corrections are made in the visible page content and its review date where appropriate.
